The Alphabet of Cooperation is the result of an invitation extended to researchers, journalists, photojournalists and illustrators to share their vision on pre-selected concepts related to Development Cooperation. Each letter of the alphabet serves as a pretext for dialogue and reflection on topics such as Human Rights, Humanism, Governance and North/South relations.
This book is the outcome of the project “Entrepreneurial Women of the PALOP: Culture, Innovation and Development”. Its objective is to contribute to the creation of an enabling environment for the realization of women’s rights and their empowerment in the economic, social, cultural and political spheres. It does so through the production of knowledge on their experiences of creative entrepreneurship in Angola, Cabo Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique and São Tomé and Príncipe, and by strengthening opportunities for national and international dialogue and exchange.
This volume brings together the reports from the first five editions (2015–2019) of the Development Journalism Creation Grants. Because journalism, and reporting as its highest discipline, remains the best translator of the world’s complexity, giving it faces, stories and places.
The catalogue Creative Futures – Angola, Cabo Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, São Tomé and Príncipe and Timor-Leste, published in 2019, brings together a series of initiatives that, through creativity and innovation, enhance the development of the communities, regions and countries in which they are inserted. It is based on the concept of the creative economy as a sector that enables the emergence of economic activities supported by cultural, creative and artistic capital.
